why the hell am i doing this?
because I just passed my black belt pretest, and i want to make a record of my testing cycle. I am a karate geek. I am not ashamed. Today is my first run since my foot injury. My testing cycle goal is 3 miles in some ridiculous amount of time ..maybe 24 minutes? I'll post the physical test requirements later. Today, I just hope I don't fall down or break anything. I'll be running with Beth at the seawall. The weather is good- balmy and windy. this should be interesting.

I started my blog for the same reasons. To keep a record of my different thoughts on the path. Karate-Do, if you would.
I have been training in the arts for 9 years now. Tae Kwon DO for 4 years, Aikibudo for 2, shotokan karate for 2 years and now, Chito-Ryu karate-Do for a year.
Weirdly, it's only this year that I truly feel in love with what I do. Before, I only did it to know how to hit. Now, I've found something that works for me.
And oh, I'd tell you "break a leg" for your exam, but... I guess I won't :)

Great idea to blog your thoughts! I did the same thing before my black belt test. It's really wonderful to look back at who I was, and where I was, and how much I've changed, and stayed the same.
